Gwent Music Teacher Training

September 8th, 2016 | 1 min read

By Kate Greenall

Leading educational consultant Chris Fower gives us the lowdown on a pBone workshop in Gwent.

"I had a really great day working with the fantastic team at Gwent, I found their enthusiasm and openness to new ideas alongside a complete commitment to diving in and "having a go” was uplifting and made my job so easy.

We workshopped progression in brass learning through the complete range of Warwick Music Group products including instruments, printed music and online resources. We also worked on informal learning, composing and improvising, teaching music through the language of music and the power of music leadership and modelling.

I think an extra mention should go to the lovely string team for completing KS1-3 brass in an hour!

Many thanks for inviting me down!" - Chris Fower, WMG Education Consultant

Kate Greenall

Kate has always had a love for music and after starting to play the clarinet aged six went on to study music at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. She joined Warwick Music Group in 2010 as Social Media Manager and now serves as Chief of Staff where her role is the day to day management of the team. She ensures activities are streamlined within the organisation, supporting the priorities of the business to help it grow. She now spends most of my spare time supporting my three children as they learn their own instruments!
