The team behind the world’s first plastic trombone is on a mission: to get as many people as possible to pick up an instrument for the first time – and just play!
In June 2017, Warwick Music Group - now known as pBone Music - was aiming to encourage as many aspiring musicians as possible to dedicate June as Make Music Month.
The company offered 10 people in the UK and a further 10 in the US to "pick up a pBone and play". The music company loaned pBones and pBuzzes for free to help people begin their musical journeys in June.
Dozens of pBones and hundreds of pBuzzes were on loan for Make Music Month in the following cities across US: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, New York, Huntsville AL, Chattanooga TN, Washington DC, Fullerton CA and Edmonton in Canada. In the UK, players have received instruments in Preston, Oldham, Berwickshire, Cumbernauld, Hampshire and London.

Kate has always had a love for music and after starting to play the clarinet aged six went on to study music at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. She ensures activities are streamlined within the organisation, supporting the priorities of the business to help it grow. She now spends most of my spare time supporting my three children as they learn their own instruments!
